For Texas A&M University–San Antonio fans, basketball season is about to deliver more than buzzer-beaters and box scores. From Pajama Night to a Selena Celebration and a Mardi Gras–inspired Homecoming, Jaguar Athletics is transforming its men’s and women’s basketball home games into themed experiences that blend school spirit, culture, and community, giving fans plenty of reasons to show up early, dress up, and stay loud all season long.
And there’s plenty to cheer about. As the University’s basketball program roars into its second season, it continues to build on a solid foundation and emerge as a serious contender in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). Currently ranked No. 2 in the RRAC standings, the women’s program has proven itself to be especially strong, with a current overall record of 14-5, including a recent 108 – 55 win over the University of the Southwest. The men’s team is also generating momentum with some important victories, while a strong mix of veteran players and newcomers helps drive the team toward a bright future.
Students get into home games for free, and for away games, tickets range from $4 to $10. Here’s a look at all the fun still to come this season:
