Navigating campus can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for first-year students and other newcomers. To make it easier, A&M–San Antonio has launched an interactive 3D map that takes the stress out of finding your way.
The map includes customizable features that enable users to personalize their experiences and highlight key destinations, such as academic buildings, residence halls, parking lots and dining options. The map also includes campus tours to highlight fun activities, historical sites and other unique aspects of the University.
Adrian Jackson, associate vice president for marketing and digital strategy, partnered with Concept3D—a Denver-based company specializing in interactive maps and virtual tours—to bring the cutting-edge platform to the University.
“This new technology replaces the University’s static PDF maps with high-tech enhancements and features that make it easier and more convenient for students to identify and find campus destinations,” Jackson said. “It’s a wonderful, interactive resource for A&M–San Antonio and yet another tool in our toolbox designed to help our Jaguars succeed.”
The 3D map is available online through the University’s website and can be accessed on both desktop and mobile devices, ensuring students and visitors have helpful, real-time information at their fingertips.
