Kimberly Rottet Named Inaugural Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Campus Services

Texas A&M University-San Antonio has selected Dr. Kimberly Rottet as the inaugural associate vice president for Student Affairs Campus Services. She is joining A&M-San Antonio from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she currently serves as director of university recreation, overseeing three campus locations. Rottet starts her new position at A&M-San Antonio on June 30.  

With over 20 years of experience in student affairs and auxiliary services, Rottet will oversee dining, the student bookstore, housing, and recreational sports. It’s an important new role for fast-growing A&M-San Antonio, as the University plans to open a third residence hall and dining facility by 2028.  

Kimberly Rottet“We are thrilled that Dr. Rottet will be joining the University,” said Dr. Juan Guardia, vice president for Student Affairs. “Her varied experiences and expertise in recreation and residence life in higher education will enhance our programs and services at Texas A&M University San Antonio.”

Prior to her current position at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Rottet served as associate director of programs at Cleveland State University and assistant director of recreational sports at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She earned a B.S. in English from Ball State University, an M.S.S. in sports management from United State Sports University, and her Ed.D from Ashland University.
